Hi, we’re Tanya and Shane Flowers. In 2007, we created a wholesale meat market in Shepherd, Montana, with the goal of operating a family-owned business that provides high-quality, Montana-made meat products sourced from local ranchers. In 2014, we accomplished our goal of expanding into a retail outlet in Billings: Ranch House Meat Company. At this shop, we provide the excellent personal service our customers have come to expect, but in a more convenient location for locals who want to be able to purchase choice grade, Montana-raised meat at direct-to-consumer prices.
In 2020, to keep up with the increasing demand for our products, we purchased Pure Montana Meats and moved our harvesting operations to Miles City. This USDA-certified facility in the heart of cattle country allowed us to double our production and serve even more customers, while keeping jobs in Montana. Here we harvest Montana-raised meats and sell them at wholesale prices, as well as offer private labeling. Pure Montana sells top-quality meat to individual customers at our Miles City retail shop, and ships to a growing number of high-end restaurants and various retail outlets throughout eastern and central Montana.
In April 2021, our original location in Shepherd, Ranch House Sausage Company, finally became an approved USDA-inspected facility, allowing us to meet the growing demand to ship our Montana-made jerky, snack sticks, sausage, bacon and other hand-crafted meat products across state lines.
Our beef cattle are all Montana-raised, grass-fed, and grain-finished, and mainly Angus and Wagyu. All our beef is dry-aged to perfection and sourced from ranches across Montana, so you can know that you’re getting the best products around while supporting our local ranchers and providing local jobs.
